The Wheat from the Chaff - Make a Lemonade
As a result of creative insomnia, I decided to release a special edition to celebrate and express gratitude for already surpassing 1,300 readers.
As part of my job, every week I read a lot of content about data, technology, and artificial intelligence (also known as AI). I filter them and send you the best ones, every Sunday.
Hello everyone đź‘‹ ,
As a result of creative insomnia, I decided to release a special edition to celebrate and express gratitude for already surpassing 1,300 readers!!! I appreciate the trust, and here is a text about the impact of AI in certain sectors, as requested by our readers.
It is time to separate the wheat from the chaff…
Less is More
The content generation market has been facing significant transformations with the advent of new technologies. While some may see these changes as a threat, others are adapting, following the saying "When life gives you lemons, make lemonade" Companies need to react quickly to remain relevant.
Hold on Jhon, calm down there, you're getting ahead of yourself. This thing has been happening for three weeks. I can already tell you that it's not happening. For instance, two years ago, I came across a solution that aligns with this purpose (link below):
A silent yet irreversible movement. The content market will never be the same. In the image below, I present an example where I sought the help of ChatGPT to write an essay on Provision for Doubtful Debts (abbreviated as PDD) within 500 words:
It is indeed challenging to predict the future. If I were capable, perhaps I wouldn't be writing this newsletter now, but I want to leave you with a thought-provoking question.
I can take content with a limited number of characters on a social network and, through a tool like ChatGPT, expand and, if necessary, correct the original text. Then, I can offer the person who wrote it the option to publish and potentially earn money from it. By broadening our thinking, could we enable anyone to write about what they enjoy? Perhaps we are witnessing a new movement, similar to the emergence of social media?
A first approach, in my opinion, is that technology generates a vast field of opportunities for complex texts that require people with multiple skills. With new technologies, the opportunity cost of writing becomes very high. Our example illustrates this: would someone capable of writing with such level of detail be willing to do so? Or would they choose to use ChatGPT (and its plug-ins) to create something more scalable and interesting?
Another approach is to harness the power of community, which is strong in small towns across the country, where emerging technologies enable the emergence of vehicles and media that provide access to culture and news that may currently be invisible. An example of this can be seen in the newspaper called ParaibĂŁo (link below):
Technologies that enable new markets, in general, facilitate the creation of unprecedented industries, products, and services, transforming and expanding economic and social boundaries. They break established patterns and bring about profound changes in existing markets, allowing for the creation of new business models, market expansion, and the democratization of access to products and services. An example is the internet, which has enabled the emergence of countless online companies and services, such as e-commerce, streaming platforms, and social networks.
J, you are considering the positive bias, right? Indeed. Alerted by a friend and a loyal reader! Now, considering the other side, the challenge for current content businesses is how to know if their journalists and freelancers are not using these tools that their clients could use directly, for example. Additionally, how to have a filter to ensure that the people who are writing do not have malicious intentions or at least possess some knowledge of the subject. These are natural challenges that involve new technologies.
Enhancing our humanity with AI
AI can greatly assist in enhancing productivity. Several tools are being developed based on these new technologies, and one that I particularly like is called ChatPDF.
You can upload a PDF file and interact with the interface about the topics contained in the file, which will then provide you with a summary. Here is the home page from the AI.
See you Sunday…
We always arrive in your inbox around 12:08 PM. Some email servers are stubborn and delayed... Others are even worse and throw us into spam and/or promotions. What's the logic behind this timing? ...None :)
